Multiple Calls for Artists for the Greater Toronto Area
The 2008 ARTWALK  Festival, Studio Tour and OUTDOOR ART MARKET is now accepting applications for our visual are, literary and music programs. The festival will run September 27th and  28th. Expected attendance is 3000+.

 

The application deadline for all ARTWALK Programs  is July 1st, 2008.

Call for Artists for the ARTWALK OUTDOOR ART MARKET
This juried exhibit and sale of original art work  is open to all Toronto artists. Accepted artists will have a 10' x 10' space (on Wychwood Ave. at St Clair Ave. West), to set up a tent to display and sell work. All arts media are welcome. Toronto and surrounding area artists are invited to submit an ONLINE application which must include 5 to 10 uploaded images of recent, original work. www.stclair-artwalk.org

Call for STUDIO TOUR Artists in the St. Clair West Area.
The Studio Tour is a walking tour that allows visitors to trek on either days of the Arts Festival. Artists living or working in the St. Clair Ave West area (roughly between Bathurst and Oakwood) or within walking distance north or south, are invited to submit an ONLINE application which must include 5 to 10 uploaded images of recent, original work (within the last 2 years). All arts media are welcome. Displayed work must be produced by the artist. If you plan to share studio space with other artists, each artist must submit an application & fee. www.stclair-artwalk.org

Call for Artists in the St. Clair West area for the ARTWALK BUSINESSES BECOME GALLERIES TOUR (BBG Tour)
Businesses  become art galleries as artists are provided the opportunity to display and sell their artwork in the bars, restaurants and businesses of the St. Clair West neighbourhood. Artists living in the St. Clair Ave West area, from approximately Bathurst to Oakwood/Davenport to Cedarvale Ravine, are invited to submit an ONLINE application which must include 5 to 10 uploaded images of recent, original work. All arts media are welcome. Work exhibited must be original and produced by the artist. www.stclair-artwalk.org

Call for Emerging Artists for ARTWALK  2008
The Emerging Artists Group Exhibition Revealed or  EAGER will be featured on Sept. 27th and  28th, but will likely run for two to three weeks in total.  Emerging (exhibiting professionally for less than five years) Toronto area artists are encouraged to submit work for this exhibition. As a St. Clair event, priority will be given to those artists who reside in the St. Clair West community. However, if you do not fall into this above category please submit work. ARTWALK Call for Literary Artists
Honey Novick, Director of Literary Arts, wants to hear from poets, novelists, monologuists, short story writers/storytellers and lyricists. Are you a literary or language artist living in the St. Clair Avenue West area (between Bathurst and Oakwood) can have their voice heard right in their own neighbourhood. Literary art performances will be heard at Ellington's on  St. Clair on Thursday, September 25th in the evening (subject  to change). Artists outside the area are also welcome and encouraged to apply.

Call for Musicians for ARTWALK 2008

We invite musicians from throughout the GTA to join us as we continue to develop St. Clair West as a center for live music in Toronto.
Play on our Wychwood Heights BIA Mainstage Event or perform in some of the finest  lounges and restaurants in Toronto found along St. Clair West. Solo Musicians and Bands are encouraged to submit an ONLINE application for consideration. Optional Music Installation Event: All Musicians are invited to join in one hour of open air music performance on St Clair Ave. W. This non-paid event will take place on Saturday September 27th; from 7-8pm. Musicians will line the sidewalks of St. Clair West and play music in the open air to passers-by.
