It’s a celebration of creativity!
Photography marathoners, their friends and anyone with an interest in things creative are invited to join the festivities at the Bavia Arts Studio Saturday Aug. 21th at 7:00 pm.
There will be hand made tortillas, catered snacks, wine, beer and the lovelly music by emerging Canadian artists "Peirson Ross" and "LadySon" to help stimulate the creative process as you view the results of the 8th Toronto Photography Marathon and help decide the winners.
"Peirson Ross" Rich Terfry of CBC Radio 2 says "I haven't encountered it as often as I'd like but here's a guy who seems to embody music. Another way to describe it is that music takes over his body. It's as if he can't help himself. It's an impressive thing to listen to and an equally impressive thing to watch"
"LadySon" Lady Son brings classic Afro-Latin roots into a new century, combining different musical genres and sounds while maintaining the essence, history and roots of the NuYorican style Salsa and Guajiro culture Son Montuno from Cuba. Experience the Flavour of this Afro-Latin-Evolution, experience the Sabor of LADY SON!
The marathon was run on Aug 7-8, where amateurs and professionals alike had 24 hours to shoot 12 themes on one 12 exposure roll of film – in sequence. Just one try to capture each theme!!!
Tickets: $10 at the door (no charge to Marathoners, Volunteers and Media)
